Good Luck to Clifford Pirch and Dean Rojas
(October 9, 2019 – Brea, CA) – Suzuki-sponsored pro anglers Clifford Pirch and Dean Rojas will be among 250-plus anglers vying for the championship title at the upcoming W.O.N. Bass 2019 U.S. Open, October 14-16 on Lake Mead, Nevada.
This prestigious event — now in its 37th year — attracts some of the best-known competitive fishermen from across the country. Sprawling Lake Mead, situated in the desert outside of Las Vegas, presents some unique challenges. There are plenty of big, tournament-winning bass to be had, but even the best anglers will have to work hard for them. With 290 square miles of water surface to cover and so many different types of habitat, this lake will force anglers to make some hard choices and will test their mental toughness, as well as their skills, over three full days of fishing.
These two Suzuki anglers certainly have what it takes to win the 2019 U.S. Open crown. Pirch is among a select group of anglers who have won the U.S. Open three times in the past, and looks to become the first four-time champion. His great track record at this event make Pirch a fan favorite. Rojas is coming off a big-time win earlier this year at a Major League Fishing (MLF) Bass Pro event on Smith Lake, Alabama, where he garnered the championship trophy and a hefty $100,000 paycheck. We wish both Clifford and Dean good luck!
