CFO Patronis Celebrates Grand Opening of Suzuki Marine USA Technical Center
PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Today, Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis issued a proclamation in honor of the grand opening of Suzuki Motor Marine USA Technical Center in Panama City. The opening of the facility marks the first of its kind outside of Japan for Suzuki and is a state-of-the-art research and development center, where the company will continue to innovate in the field of marine power. The new research facility is expected to create 20-25 jobs in the marine industry. Additionally, in 2021, Suzuki’s North American corporate headquarters moved from California to Tampa.
CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “Florida being the boating capital of the world, I cannot imagine a better place for Suzuki to open a new research facility. Florida’s economy is stronger than it’s ever been, while reaching record levels of job creation and budget reserves. Companies want to move to Florida because our economy is booming and we are open for business. It was a pleasure attending the grand opening of this new facility, and I look forward to seeing many more Suzuki boats grace our waters in the upcoming years.”
